Our Story

Same Location, Evolved Practice

From 2014-2021, our freestanding birth center at 2800 Folsom Avenue served the greater Front Range community as The Birth Center of Boulder, under the leadership of a few courageous women. In October 2023, following a two-year trial of hospital ownership, the birth center transitioned back to a women-owned, independent practice—this time with an evolved business model and a new name: Boulder Birth & Holistic Health.

For nearly a decade, our model of care has always been centered around an individualized approach with an emphasis on shared decision making, open communication, and mutual respect—and this will not change. Our new name embodies our commitment to delivering more comprehensive health services that are more accessible to all individuals in the community, not only to those on the pregnancy journey. The dragonfly in our new logo symbolizes embracing change to achieve one’s fullest potential—a vision that motivates us as we strive to positively impact the lives of more people, knowing they will, in turn, carry that positive influence into their own families and communities.
