Prenatal Care Financial Details

Insurance benefits for individual plans will be confirmed by our partner billing service, Larsen Billing, prior to your first appointment. Larsen will provide an “Eligibility Read Out” which we will use to estimate patient responsibility and calculate a payment plan.

A $500 non-refundable registration fee is collected at the first prenatal appointment. This fee is used to offset the costs of birth center care that are not covered by insurance. If this fee is a barrier for you, please speak with us and we will work with you to make an attainable plan.

Our cash pay prenatal care package pricing is $7,700
• Includes all routine prenatal, postpartum, and newborn care visits as well as labor and birth at BBHH
• Non-routine services will be billed separately at the time of service (in-house ultrasounds, blood draws, non-stress tests, problem visits)
• Labs (including required obstetric panels) and ultrasounds not performed at BBHH (including the required 20 week anatomy scan) will be billed separately by the laboratory or imaging provider
• Full payment requested by 36 weeks
• Payment plans and financial assistance available (see Access for All)

Daytime Birth Considerations:
• Birth is unpredictable. Sometimes, daytime births necessitate that we reschedule prenatal or postpartum appointments. When this happens, we will try to give you as much notice as possible. We appreciate your understanding and please know we will do the same for you on your Birth Day if needed.
24-hour Cancellation Notice Requested:
• Out of respect for our providers’ time, we request 24 hours notice if you will be unable to attend your scheduled appointment
Late Arrivals:
• Arriving up to 10 minutes late to an appointment will result in a shorter visit
• Arriving more than 10 minutes late may necessitate rescheduling to a different day depending on that day’s schedule flexibility
Missed Appointments:
• Missed appointments will be rescheduled as availability allows
Gynecological/Sexual Health & Functional Health/Primary Care Financial Details

One preventative annual/well-person exam visit is covered by all insurance companies. Please see above for in-network insurance options. Male clients can book a preventative care visit with our Family Nurse Practitioner.
Coverage for other types of visits will depend on individual insurance plans as well as complexity and length of appointment.

Acupuncture Financial Details

Mental Wellness Financial Details

Via Colorado’s Collaborative Care Program, clients can receive up to 2 hour-long psychotherapy sessions per month, indefinitely. Collaborative care visits will be billed through insurance. Please see above for in-network insurance options. Copay fees may apply and will vary depending on individual insurance plans and deductibles.
Medicaid has specific billing requirements and will be discussed on an individual basis for those who desire these services.

Lactation Support Financial Details

We have partnered with The Lactation Network (TLN) and Wildflower to offer lactation services at BBHH. If you have non-Cigna coverage, click here to check your insurance coverage under TLN. If you have Cigna coverage, click here to check your insurance coverage under Wildflower
If you are covered:
• You have access to 6 lactation visits at no charge
If you are not covered:
• We still want to ensure you have access to lactation services. Most insurance companies are required to reimburse you for out-of-pocket expenses for lactation services per the Affordable Care Act. We will provide documentation for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We strongly encourage and prioritize a prenatal visit for all first time families and any family who experienced difficulty with infant feeding in the past.
• Prenatal Lactation Consult: $200 cost; requested donation of minimum $100
• Postpartum Lactation Home Visit: $250 if first visit; $200 if return visit (counts as return visit if had prenatal appointment)
• Postpartum Lactation Clinic Visit: $175 return visit
